5/22/22 Dona Cecy's Pupuseria is a restaurant that caught my wife's attention after visiting the flea market. This store is heavily populated by the Hispanic community. How many dialects of the Spanish language were there I cannot say, but what I can tell you is this, the place was booming with customers. My guess is a lot of families who had finished church and stopped by for a bite to eat. I seemed to be the only gringo in the mix of the Latino population. This did not bother me one bite, dispite some of the looks I got from some people. Then again, maybe they were looking at my wife who was with me and wondering what the hell? Whether this truly the case it matters not. We were here for some food. Dona Cecy's Pupuseria is what we came for and The Pupusas with Cheese was calling my name. My wife ordered The Pupusas with Cheese and Loroco. If you don't know what a Loroco is, it is an edible flower popular in El Salvador, Guatemala and other places. We also ordered drinks orginally large, but learned the store did not have large lids for the drinks. (I hope this isn't a normal thing) We then changed the order to medium drinks and my wife ordered a medium Horchata ("Horchata, or orxata, is a name given to various kinds of plant-based beverages. In Spain it is made with soaked, ground, and sweetened tiger nuts. In Latin America, and other parts of the Americas, the base is jicaro, melon or sesame seeds, or white rice, along with other spices. Wikipedia) and I ordered a mango drink. Both drink came with ice and this is good, because the drinks are very sweet...or so it seems. (Something to keep in mind) We watched as hot delicious food was being made by the nearly a whole female staff. I only saw one guy and he was the youngest out of the bunch of women working there. The male took our orders and my wife jumped in and placed our orders in rapid Spanish. Next time I will have to be quicker with my Spanish. Especially in an all Spanish environment. This store looks to have been around for a long time. The name of this store I now realize are in a several places I have visited, but did not place the name and face. *One of the things that could be a very dangerous and is a accident waiting to happening is how slippery the flooring is on one's way to the bathrooms. There is a wet floor sign in the men's bath when I was there. The floor was slippery there too. The urinal near the toilet looked to be ready to fall down. There is a puddle of piss on the floor to, so I wasn't about to stand in that. (Urinal mat(s) please) once again. If your penis is to small, MOVE CLOSER TO THE URINAL. (Si su pene es demasiado pequeño, ACÉRQUESE AL URINARIO) The women's bathroom look to be as slippery as the men's bathroom from what I saw when the door opened. I would say a bathroom upgrade is in order.* Since we only ordered takeout, I can't say how the dine in experience was. This will be for another time. The food was delicious. Oh!, I forgot to mention my wife ordered some pineapple cookies which were soft batch. I believe she found them delicious, because I can't find them anywhere.

I didn't went here to get my horchata. I also had to use the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean. It was early and seemed more like a bar. It was empty since we went to was still pretty early. I enjoyed my drink

I can only speak for the food since we've never dined inside, which alot of people mention is the only thing good about this place. Definitely one of the best pupussas I've had. And very cheap! They're pupussas are made fresh, so it takes a while. We've ordered from them many times over the years and their food has yet to disappoint. But just order ahead for to-go.
